Rob and Lauren Hunter founded Platinum Joinery Interiors after recognising the need for a quality-focused, one-stop, high-end commercial and residential interior specialist.

With a purpose-built factory located in Brisbane’s leafy north-west, we are perfectly positioned to manage projects across Australia from initial concept through to final handover. Our team is dedicated to maintaining true control over quality management by manufacturing all our joinery and cabinetry in-house. We use high-tech machinery and tools to maintain strict quality and consistency for a seamless fitout journey.

To enable complete joinery and fitout solutions, we choose to engage with trades, service professionals and contractors who have an undeniable reputation for quality work and clear communication. Compliance is a critical part of what we do and we expect our network to go above and beyond minimum compliance standards.

Director

Rob

Rob has over 20 years of industry experience as a cabinet maker and shopfitter. Specialising in high-end retail and residential joinery, he’s renowned for his sharp focus on superior quality. Rob’s keen eye for detail extends to project management, where he’s developed a reputation for strong compliance, communication and coordination. ….

Rob has over 20 years of industry experience as a cabinet maker and shopfitter. Specialising in high-end retail and residential joinery, he’s renowned for his sharp focus on superior quality. Rob’s keen eye for detail extends to project management, where he’s developed a reputation for strong compliance, communication and coordination.

Rob is a father of three young children and wife to Lauren. When he’s not leading the PJI fitout team, you’ll find Rob taking off on family holidays, playing golf, or mastering his snowboarding skills.

Lauren

For over 15 years, Lauren has developed sales and operational management experience across a number of industries. Her well-rounded skill set and commitment to building solid business relationships have positioned Lauren as a leader in client experience solutions. Lauren is a mum of three young children and wife to Rob. When she’s not at the forefront of PJI, you’ll find Lauren getting focused at the gym, travelling with her family, adoring her dogs, or enjoying good food and wine with friends.

Draftsman

Adam

Adam has been working in the industry for over 15 years and brings extensive experience across all areas of joinery. As our resident draftsman, he creates production-ready plans for each project and lends a hand wherever needed — he’s a bit of a ninja! When he’s not at work, you’ll find him renovating his own home or out with his beloved dog, Zeke

Estimator

Luke

Luke is another legend here at Platinum Joinery Interiors, bringing over 20 years of experience in the industry. Having worked all over the country, he brings a wealth of knowledge across all aspects of the trade — from the factory to on-site — and is also our in-house estimator. When he’s not at work, Luke is busy running around after his three kids and enjoys a bit of camping and fishing whenever he gets the chance!

Cabinet Maker

Matt

Matt joined the PJI team in 2022 and has quickly become known for his reliability, strong work ethic, and growing mastery of curved joinery. When he’s not in the factory or lending a hand to Luke onsite, you’ll likely find him at the gym, gaming or spending time with his partner and family.

Apprentice

Eli

Eli is the newest and youngest member of our team, joining PJI in May 2025 and beginning his Certificate III in Cabinet Making and Timber Technology. He’s doing a fantastic job and has quickly become a valued part of the team. Outside of work, Eli enjoys spending time with his family and catching up with friends.
